Drew Stevens, Founder/CEO

Brief Biography: Andrew (Drew) Stevens career began in 2010 while working for his family business, OPEX Corporation, in Moorestown, NJ. Drew specialized in business development for supply chain and logistics operations both domestic and internationally. Drew worked with financial institutions, insurance companies, 3rd party logistics, retail logistics and wholesale logistics. Drew graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in University Studies—Leadership. After his own battle with depression, anxiety, and addiction, Drew set out to establish a treatment facility in College Station that provided excellent medical, clinical, spiritual, and operational care.

“Most treatment centers are designed to accomplish a monumental task in a short amount of time, but they are not designed to help clients re-awaken a positive vision of a new future for themselves, and then help them take the first step to get there.” Drew developed the concept of More Than Rehab out of the belief that providers have to go the extra mile for their clients to help them successfully integrate back into a healthy lifestyle and to improve treatment outcomes.

Ken White, COO

Brief Biography: Ken has worked in start-ups and turnarounds his entire professional life. Whether in the for profit, or non-profit sector, he has a long track record of building processes and systems that bring stability and long term success to the organizations he serves.

Rob Cairncross, Executive Director of Tyler Location

Credentials: Marine Engineering Diploma – Royal Navy; Certificate of Management – Open University.
Job Experience: Petty Officer – Royal Navy; MRP Controller  – Rolls-Royce Aerospace, Vice President of International Operations – Mercy Ships
Brief Biography: Rob was born and raised in North Yorkshire, England. After spending 8 years as an engineer in the Royal Navy he ventured  into the not for profit world with Mercy Ships, serving on their hospital ship in West Africa. He returned to the UK in 1996 to work with Rolls-Royce Aerospace, developing a passion for continuous improvement and workflow management, before going back to Mercy Ships in 2003. After working in various management positions on their hospital ships and ashore for almost 17 years, he left his role of Vice President of International Operations in 2020, joining More Than Rehab later that year.

He remains passionate about improving effectiveness in the workplace with the aim of positively impacting the lives of staff and clients alike.

Taylor Johnson, Executive Director

Job Experience: Pastor, Operations Director, Admissions Director
Brief Biography:Taylor spent 7 years pastoring and living in high needs communities. He worked with families and individuals to develop programs that met the educational, material, and spiritual needs of the local area. After establishing children’s mentorship programs and adult job skills programs, he turned his attention to the epidemic plaguing local families: unaddressed mental health and substance abuse issues. He served as operations director for men’s and women’s faith based recovery programs for 3 years before transitioning into full time clinical treatment with More Than Rehab in 2018.

Taylor has lived among the devastation substance abuse causes–to families, children, friends, and two of his own brothers. He has a passion for walking hurting people and their loved ones into the recovery process. He considers it a privilege to serve those taking the bold step to do the hardest thing a person can do: change. 
 
 
Dr. David Dranetz, Psychiatric Director

Credentials: Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts & Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston
Job Experience: David M. Dranetz, M.D.
Brief Biography: David Dranetz was born and raised in Massachusetts, obtaining his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He then attended Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he received his medical degree in 1988. He trained in Psychiatry, then served as a Psychiatrist, in the United States Army until 1995. He has over 30 years of experience in Psychiatry, in the areas of adult outpatient psychotherapy and medication management, hospital consultation, inpatient psychiatric care, and substance abuse treatment. He has trained medical students in Psychiatry, having held the title of Assistant Professor at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He has lived in the College Station area for over 10 years.

Dr. Michael Jones, Medical Director

Brief Biography: Board Certified in Addiction Medicine, Dr. Jones was born and raised in Texas. Dr. Jones graduated Cum Laude at Texas A&M University in 1980. He attended Medical School at UT San Antonio and graduated in 1985. He then completed his Family Practice Residency at Texas Tech in Odessa in 1988. He is a Board-Certified Family Physician with repeated recertifications since then. Dr. Jones has acquired a vast amount of experience working in emergency medicine for 28 years. Has been with MTR since its inception and personally wrote the protocols that we follow each day. "I look forward to serving you and helping smooth your journey to freedom."

Paige Fritz, In House UR and Billing Director

Credentials: Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services
Job Experience: Paige has been in the treatment industry for about 7 years. She started her career working for a facility in their detox program but soon after was moved to the insurance department.
Brief Biography: Paige grew up near San Francisco and moved to Southern California where she attended California State University, Fullerton. While in college, she found a passion for people who struggle with addiction. Paige is dedicated and passionate about maximizing benefits for each client that enters treatment.

Shannon Johnson, Clinical Director

Brief Biography: Shannon is a Licensed Professional Counselor with EMDR training. She began her work in substance abuse treatment in 2018 and has a private practice in College station where she specializes in anxiety, addiction, and trauma. She is passionate about helping people feel hope and guiding them on their journey through recovery, depression, anxiety, trauma, and self doubt. Shannon's husband is in recovery and has battled addiction for over 30 years. They have two beautiful daughters, one granddaughter, and a sweet long hair miniature dachshund named Charlie.

 
 
Paul Premazon, Counselor

Brief Biography: Paul Premazon's counseling career began in 2018 as an LCDC-I at Management Training Corporation(MTC) in Richmond,TX as a Substance Abuse Counselor I and finishing his MTC employment  as a Substance Abuse Counselor II at the Hamilton Unit in College Station, TX where he also had a short stint working with TDCJ in the Pre-Release Treatment Community(PRTC) for 11 months before getting position at More Than Rehab as an LCDC.

 
Paul has been in the recovery community for 34 years and has been able to share real life experience at the clients' level of the recovery aspect.
Rachel Postma, Music Therapy

Credentials: Board-Certified Music Therapist(MT-BC), Berklee College of Music – Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy; Minor in Psychology; Vocal studies emphasis.
Job Experience: Rachel has been working as a music therapist at More Than Rehab since 2017, facilitating expressive therapy groups.
Brief Biography: Rachel is passionate about the work she does here at MTR, providing a safe space for clients to creatively express themselves, process through their recovery, set personal goals, and find relief from stress. While at Berklee, Rachel completed 1,200 clinical hours in a variety of settings, including working with older adults with dementia, working with children with special needs, as well as a rotation at Boston Children’s Hospital. She completed her clinical internship at Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital, a state psychiatric facility in Massachusetts. Rachel currently works as a contract music therapist with multiple healthcare companies like More Than Rehab, providing Telehealth services through Scoggins Therapies and Southwestern Music Therapy for individual clients with developmental disabilities.

 
 
Andy Arnold, Tyler Clinical Office Administrator

Job Experience: Sundown Ranch Inc. 2012-2023, ETCADA 2019, Cenikor 2019-2021 
Brief Biography: Andy has been around addiction his whole life having dealt with siblings who struggled all the way through his own struggles. He has been clean since September of 2008. Since that time he has developed a tremendous passion for helping others find the same freedoms from addiction.  He went back to school to become a chemical dependency counselor and has worked in the recovery field as such since 2012.  

Andy has worked in residential treatment facilities for both adults and adolescents. He is very actively involved in the recovery community in east Texas and in 2014 founded a recovery ministry for adolescents in the east Texas area called Breakout. 

Wesley Kerce, Director of Business Operations & Compliance Director

Credentials: Bachelor of Science in Psychology @ Belhaven University, LCDCI, CPIT.
Brief Biography: Wesley Kerce was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated from Belhaven University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Before majoring in psychology, he studied Business Administration Management at the University of Mississippi and Building Construction Sciences at Mississippi State University.

Growing up, Wesley enjoyed playing sports and spending time outdoors, which led him to receive his Eagle Scout award at age 18. Although determined, he experienced several highs and lows throughout his high school and college careers. Wesley soon realized he had the same passion for partying as he did for playing sports, which was a recipe for disaster.

During this time, his recreational drug use and drinking took a drastic turn and became his number one priority. After obtaining his degree, he became utterly consumed by his addiction and realized he could not manage his own life. Knowing he could create no way out on his own, Wesley committed to a 12-day detox program and a Texas residential treatment center.

Once completing residential treatment Wesley continued his long-term treatment plan and finished his last two months of sober living. Wesley began his professional career working at Omega Recovery as Director of Operations for just under two years before transitioning to Heartwood Recovery as their Operations Officer. Wesley's journey was challenging but made possible with a long-term treatment plan and a community of men & women striving for the same way of life.
