Structured Online Addiction Treatment That Fits Real Life.
When weekly therapy isn’t enough—but stepping away from work or family isn’t realistic—More Than Rehab’s Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP) provides structured, clinician-led addiction treatment delivered fully online.
Our evening virtual IOP offers real accountability, evidence-based therapy, and recovery support—without requiring you to put your life on hold.
Virtual Intensive Outpatient (VIOP) is structured addiction treatment you can attend from home. Through secure video sessions, clients participate in therapist-led groups, clinical support, and recovery programming while continuing work, school, or family responsibilities.
Is online addiction treatment effective?
Yes. Studies show virtual treatment can be highly effective for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. With consistent participation, clients receive the same clinical guidance, accountability, and peer support found in traditional programs — with greater flexibility and accessibility.
What does the program provide?
Our Virtual IOP provides structured, clinician-led treatment that includes:
Live group therapy sessions
Individual clinical support
Relapse prevention and coping skills
Mental health support for co-occurring disorders
Accountability and peer connection
A structured weekly recovery schedule
What will I gain from VIOP?
Virtual IOP helps you continue your recovery while living your daily life. Clients gain:
Practical tools to manage triggers and stress
Ongoing professional guidance and accountability
Support from others in recovery
Improved emotional stability and decision-making
The ability to stay engaged in treatment without leaving home
Treatment is individualized, but structure and accountability remain consistent.
VIOP is guided by an experienced clinical team of licensed professionals with deep experience in outpatient addiction treatment. Clients receive care from a consistent clinical team—not a rotating virtual staff.

Additional Addiction & Mental Health Support: Many individuals in recovery also experience anxiety, depression, or emotional instability. VIOP supports both substance use recovery and emotional regulation while ensuring appropriate level-of-care placement when needed.
You don’t just attend sessions—you build the routines and structure necessary for lasting recovery.
Many clients enter VIOP after completing detox, residential treatment, or a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Others may begin VIOP if they are experiencing challenges maintaining sobriety and need a higher level of care.
During the admissions process, our clinical team will talk with you about your situation, recovery history, and goals to determine whether VIOP is the right level of care.
Can I work full-time while enrolled?
Yes. The program is specifically designed to accommodate people who are balancing recovery with work, school, or family responsibilities.
Sessions take place Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, allowing most participants to attend after the workday ends. Because treatment is delivered virtually, you can participate from home without needing to commute or take time away from your job.
What happens after I complete VIOP?
Recovery does not end when a program concludes. Before completing VIOP, our clinical team works with each client to develop a plan for continued recovery support. Because More Than Rehab offers a full continuum of care, we help ensure clients have the support they need to continue building long-term recovery after completing the program.
Is Virtual IOP covered by insurance?
In many cases, yes. Many insurance plans provide coverage for intensive outpatient addiction treatment, including virtual programs.
Coverage varies depending on your provider and individual policy. Our admissions team can help verify your insurance benefits quickly and confidentially and explain any potential out-of-pocket costs before enrollment.
If you have questions about coverage, simply contact our admissions team and we’ll walk you through the process.
We carefully assess each client to ensure appropriate placement and long-term success.
