More Than Rehab

Cookie & Tracking Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

The short version

  • Analytics and advertising cookies are off until you choose to allow them.
  • We never send what you type into our forms or chat to analytics or advertising companies.
  • Advertising tags never run on our admission, insurance verification, contact or alumni form pages.
  • You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page.

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on morethanrehab.com (the “Site”), operated by More Than Rehab (“we”, “us”). It adds detail to our Privacy Policy. Information about patients receiving care is protected health information and is covered by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and federal confidentiality rules for substance use disorder records (42 CFR Part 2), not by this policy.

What cookies and tracking technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels or tags (small pieces of code that tell a provider a page was viewed), and device signals used to detect fraud. Some are set by us (first-party); others are set by the companies whose services we use (third-party).

Your choices

When you first visit, we ask before using anything optional. You can accept all, decline optional cookies, or choose by category. Your choice is saved in your browser for 6 months, after which we ask again. To change it now:

If you withdraw consent, we stop the optional tags, delete the analytics and advertising cookies we can remove from our own domain, and reload the page. Cookies that providers set on their own domains (for example facebook.com) can only be removed in your browser or with that provider.

The categories we use

  • Essential (always on): needed for the Site to work and stay secure, and to remember your cookie choice.
  • Functional (always on): our live chat, so you can reach our team (see “Live chat” below), and the Psychology Today verification seal in our footer.
  • Analytics (off until you allow it): Google Analytics and call tracking, to understand which pages and sources help people.
  • Marketing (off until you allow it): advertising pixels from Meta and Microsoft and click-fraud protection, to measure our ads.

Cookie names are the ones these providers document; providers can change them. Third-party providers use the information they receive under their own privacy policies, for example Google and Meta.

Health information

Visiting a treatment provider’s website can itself be sensitive, so we limit tracking on purpose:

  • We do not send the contents of our forms (such as names, dates of birth, insurance details or Social Security numbers) or chat messages to analytics or advertising providers.
  • Advertising tags never run on these form pages, even if you allow marketing cookies: Admission, Insurance Verification, Contact and Alumni.
  • The Meta Pixel’s automatic collection of button clicks and form details is turned off, and Google Analytics runs without Google signals or ad personalization.
  • We do not use health information to target advertising, and we do not sell personal information. If you allow marketing cookies, the advertising providers above receive information about your visit, which some state laws call “sharing” or “targeted advertising”. You can withdraw that choice at any time.

Live chat

Our chat window is provided by Juvo Leads. Messages you send are stored by the provider so our team can respond. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing in chat; for detailed or private questions, call us at 888-249-2191.

Call tracking

With analytics consent, LogMyCalls shows a tracking phone number on the Site so we can tell which page or ad led to a call. The provider records call details such as the time, length and number that called. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes. Without analytics consent you see our main number and no tracking number is used.

Embedded videos

Some articles include videos from YouTube or Vimeo. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and Vimeo’s do-not-track setting, so these players do not set tracking cookies when the page loads. If you play a video, the provider may store information under its own policy (Google, Vimeo).

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of marketing cookies and targeted advertising, and the marketing switch stays off. There is no common standard for “Do Not Track” signals; because optional cookies are off until you allow them, nothing optional loads unless you choose it.

Other ways to control cookies

Server logs and security

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic request information, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs only to keep the Site secure, to prevent abuse (for example limiting repeated sign-in attempts) and to fix problems, and they are kept for a limited time.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Our services are for adults 18 and over.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including Texas, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal within 60 days. Patients can find their rights over health records in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the technologies we use change, and change the “Last updated” date above. If we add a new kind of optional tracking, we will ask for your consent again.
